๐Ÿฅž Sunday Family Pancakes

โฑ๏ธ 12 min ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Lucy, Carlos, Raquel ๐ŸŽฏ 5-10 years old

Sundays are special because it's the only day we can have breakfast together without rushing.

The problem is that getting Carlos, Raquel, and me to agree is mission impossible.

Carlos is 12 and only wants Nutella pancakes. Raquel is 4 and wants heart-shaped pancakes with strawberry syrup. And I want PERFECT pancakes with blueberries.

But one Sunday in November, Mom came into the kitchen with a mysterious smile.

โ€”This Sunday we are going to do something different. YOU are making the pancakes. The three of you. Together.

Mom put the timer on the table. 60 minutes.

The first 10 minutes were chaotic. But then Carlos had an idea: "What if we make a base batter... and then everyone adds whatever they want on top?"

That's how Operation Family Pancakes began.

Carlos took charge of the batter. Raquel prepared the decoration station. I took command of the frying pan.

When we finished, we made 18 pancakes. Carlos made a chocolate tower. Raquel made a pink heart. I made a classic stack.

But the best part was that we also made special pancakes for Mom and Dad.

"When you stop fighting to be right and start listening, things turn out better. Because the best recipe always includes a little bit of what everyone brings to the table."
