🚀 Getting Started

Installation

✓ No registration: SmartCart does NOT ask for email, name, or phone number. Just open and start.

Initial setup (optional)

  1. Choose language (7 available offline)
  2. Tap on "Start Now"
  3. Review options and select what you want
  4. Add your four favorite supermarkets
  5. You can now add products and assign them to the store you wish
  6. You can create new products, new categories, and new packaging units.

🛒 Adding Products

Method 1: Manual

  1. Tap the + button
  2. Type the name (e.g., "Skim milk")
  3. The AI suggests category and aisle
  4. Confirm and save

Method 2: Voice (coming soon)🎤

Perfect for cooking with busy hands.

  1. Tap the microphone
  2. Say: "Buy bread, milk, eggs"
  3. SmartCart creates 3 products automatically

Method 3: From Lucy's Stories

  1. Read a story at smartcartfamily.com/en/lucy-stories
  2. At the end, there is a recipe
  3. Tap Add Ingredients
  4. They are automatically added to your list

🗺️ Mapping Your Supermarket

The most powerful feature: Organize your list following the exact path of your store.

💰 Save 30-40 minutes per trip by avoiding going back and forth.

How to map:

  1. Go to Settings → Map Store
  2. Select your supermarket
  3. Assign an aisle number to each category:

Example:

  • P1: Fruits and Vegetables (Aisle 1)
  • P2: Bakery (Aisle 2)
  • P3: Drinks (Aisle 3)
  • P5: Dairy (Aisle 5)
  • P8: Cleaning (Aisle 8)

Result: Your list is automatically sorted by aisle. You follow the order and never go back. Always keep the same criterion P12-Canned goods and not P-12-Canned goods

💰 Price Control

Exclusive to SmartCart: Detect price increases instantly.

Add prices

  1. When adding a product, enter the price (e.g., 2.45)
  2. SmartCart saves history with date

Automatic comparison

Next time you buy the same product:

Example:
Olive oil
Last purchase: €5.99 (2 weeks ago)
Today: €6.49
⚠️ INCREASE: +€0.50 (+8.3%)

History: Go to Budget → View history → At the bottom of the screen you will see the price evolution.

💳 Budgets and Misc Expenses

Set budget

  1. Go to Budget → Configure
  2. Enter monthly amount (e.g., €800). You must do this first, you won't see data until you do.
  3. SmartCart shows in real time how much you have spent

Misc Expenses (Exclusive)

What are they? Expenses that are NOT from the supermarket:

How to add:

  1. Budget → Misc Expenses
  2. + Add Expense
  3. It is automatically added to the monthly budget
Complete view: Supermarket (€500) + Misc expenses (€603) = TOTAL: €1,103

🧾 Digital Receipt and Error Detector

Only SmartCart has this: Compare your digital receipt with the real one from the store.

Generate receipt

  1. Mark products you add to the cart while shopping
  2. SmartCart sums the total in real time
  3. When arriving at checkout: Finish Purchase
  4. Your digital receipt is generated. If lost or disappears you will see a "Recover ticket" button. Press it and it will reappear.

Compare with real receipt

  1. After paying, open your digital receipt
  2. Compare product by product
  3. SmartCart detects differences

They charged you 1 extra unit (+€3.25)

Add stores

  1. Settings → My Stores
  2. + Add Store
  3. Enter name (e.g., "Downtown Market")
  4. Map its aisles

Products per store

SmartCart learns where you buy each thing and compares prices:

Olive oil:
• Store A: €5.99
• Store B: €6.49
• Store C: €5.29 ← Cheaper

👧 Lucy's Stories

Educational stories for your children to learn about food. We will add new stories every 15 days.

How to use:

  1. Visit smartcartfamily.com/en/lucy-stories
  2. Choose story by age (3-12 years)
  3. Read together (5-15 min)
  4. At the end: recipe with Add Ingredients
  5. Uncheck what you already have and don't need to buy
  6. Select which store you want to buy it from
  7. Press add and the checked products will be added to the shopping list
  8. Buy ingredients and cook the recipe

👨‍👩‍👧 Share Lists

Real-time synchronization

  1. Open the list you want to share
  2. Tap Export
  3. The other person receives the complete list with quantities and mapping.
  4. The other person opens the link and presses "Import"
  5. Send via WhatsApp to another person, for urgent purchases of a few products.
✓ Example:
• You are at home and noted everything missing, press export, your partner or whoever goes shopping receives the file, presses import and gets a complete list of what needs to be bought, P14-Pears, 1 Kg, P7-Dairy, 4 Milk cartons, etc.

📊 Statistics (6 months)

Go to Budgets to see:

1. Total monthly spending

Bar chart of monthly spending. Green if you are within budget, orange if close to total and red if you have reached the total budget set

2. Spending in each store with amount and date.

You can see purchases made in each store with date

3. Price trends

Price evolution of specific products over time.

⚙️ Advanced Features

Export/Import

Settings → Export Data → Save JSON/CSV as backup. To prevent loss or device failure it is recommended that every week you recover the backup file from your device and save it on an external one, your PC or your cloud.

7 offline languages: ES, EN, IT, FR, DE, PT, ZH
